I'll raise you one:
The Punisher 1987 #60
Frank Castle gets pulled over by racist cops, takes offense, and gets his ass beat, and Luke Cage saves him. Because...wait for it...a back-alley plastic surgeon turned Frank black.
He spends the next several issues hiding in Harlem with Luke Cage. Not killing people. Luke Cage makes Frank Castle stop killing people for three whole issues.
This was in the era where the Punisher writers acknowledged that half their fanbase were Hitler Youth and started poking them with sticks to try to drive them away.
The crossover was a collaboration between Mike Baron (Punisher writer, stepped back to handle plot for this arc) and Marcus McLaurin (Luke Cage writer, took over scripting for this arc). It is super unusual for the writer of one series to bring in the writer of the guest star to take over during a crossover. I don't know if it's possible to do a Tropic Thunder plotline well, but they sure did try.
